High-speed flame burners

High-speed flame burners are employed in applications where powerful waste gas turbulence in the combustion chamber is required to heat material by convection and not only irradiation.

The TFB series establishes a flame speed at the burner head of approximately 130 m/s. The powerful force of the flame creates strong waste gas recirculation, which combined with combustion techniques such as air and fuel staging allow to obtain an homogenous flame pattern, void of temperature peaks and with low pollution emissions.

The TFB standard series is available using both cold and hot air and different gaseous fuels e.g. natural gas, coke oven gas, liquid propane gas or a mixture of gases. The preheated air version has also been developed for use with the flameless combustion technique allowing significant reductions in NOx emissions.

Burners are able to function in both the proportional mode, on/off or minimum/maximum mode with a thermal power ranging from 50 to 500 kW depending on the size. The burners are designed for direct flame ignition using spark plugs and flame detection with ionization rods or U.V. cells.
