High-speed flame burners are available in the self-recuperative version where each burner is equipped with an integral recuperator for air preheating, thus air temperature is higher than the conventional version (in the same condition); in fact burner efficiency is approximately 75-84% depending on the size.

This offers significant savings in fuel. The recuperator has been developed in the stainless steel version or in silicon carbide (SiSiC) and in accordance with operating temperatures.

Emissions remain well below 200 mg/Nm3 @ 3% O2 (1000 °C furnace temperature) even when extremely high combustion air heating is used and 60 mg/Nm3 under the same conditions when using flameless combustion. Power varies from 60 to 350 kW and burners are able to function in the proportional mode, on/off or minimum/maximum mode.

The burners are designed for direct flame ignition using spark plugs and flame detection with ionization rods or U.V. cells.
